What ZeroBounce is

ZeroBounce calls itself an email verification and deliverability platform. Its core service validates email addresses in bulk or in real time through an API, flagging invalid, disposable and inactive addresses as well as spam traps, abuse emails and catch-all domains. Around that it offers tools for the rest of the sending process: AI email scoring, Activity Data, an Email Finder, email warmup, inbox placement tests, email server tests, blacklist monitoring, DMARC monitoring and a deliverability dashboard.

ZeroBounce credits can be spent on validation, scoring, Email Finder and domain searches. They are bought pay-as-you-go or through the ZeroBounce ONE subscription, which also adds monthly allowances for the deliverability tools. ZeroBounce was founded in 2017 by Liviu Tanase and is headquartered in Santa Barbara, California, according to its About page.

Pricing

ZeroBounce prices in US dollars by the number of credits. On Oct 17, 2026 its pricing page listed:

  • Freemium ($0): 100 validation credits that refill every month, 1 inbox placement test, 1 email server test, 1 blacklist monitor scanned every 24 hours and 10 Email Finder. ZeroBounce says the 100 free monthly verifications apply when you sign up with a business or premium domain. Activity Data, warmup and DMARC monitoring are not included.
  • Pay-As-You-Go (one-time credit purchases, minimum 2,000 credits): $39 for 2,000 ($0.0195 per credit), $69 for 5,000, $129 for 10,000, $274 for 25,000, $499 for 50,000, $649 for 100,000, $1,299 for 250,000, $2,199 for 500,000 and $3,199 for 1,000,000 ($0.003199 per credit).
  • ZeroBounce ONE (subscription, minimum 10,000 credits a month): $99 a month for 10,000 credits, $199 for 25,000, $379 for 50,000, $449 for 100,000, $999 for 250,000, $1,699 for 500,000 and $2,499 for 1,000,000 on monthly billing. Billed annually, the same tiers are $79, $159, $303, $359, $799, $1,359 and $1,999 a month, which ZeroBounce labels a 20% saving.
  • Enterprise: more than 1 million credits is priced through ZeroBounce’s sales team.

At its default configuration, ZeroBounce ONE also includes 10,000 Email Finder or domain searches, 100 inbox placement tests, 100 email server tests, 250 warmup seeds, 10 blacklist monitors scanned every 8 hours and 1 DMARC monitor domain, plus Activity Data, premium API rate limits and 15% off extra pay-as-you-go credits. Unused validation credits roll over each month; unused tests, monitors, searches and warmup seeds do not. There is no contract, and ZeroBounce says annual subscribers are charged once, at the $79 monthly rate for the 10,000-credit tier.

One credit covers one validated or scored address, through bulk upload or the API. Email Finder uses 20 credits per successful query. ZeroBounce does not charge for “unknown” results or for removing duplicate addresses. ZeroBounce’s help documentation says that for accounts created after June 1, 2026, purchased credits expire two years after the most recent purchase unless you keep an active ZeroBounce ONE subscription, while credits on accounts created on or before that date never expire. Some of its marketing pages still say simply that credits never expire, so check the current terms before you buy. Checkout accepts any currency Stripe supports and defaults to your region’s currency.

Key features

Validation. ZeroBounce sorts each address into valid, invalid, catch-all, unknown, spamtrap, abuse or do_not_mail, with sub-statuses such as disposable, toxic, role-based and global suppression. Its email validation page also lists typo correction, MX record detection, anti-greylisting, gender and name identification, and social and IP information appends; ZeroBounce notes that append information is only available on certain emails and most IP addresses. The same page says it takes about 45 minutes on average to clean a list of 100,000 contacts and about 3 seconds to validate one address.

Accuracy claim. ZeroBounce guarantees 99.6% accuracy. Its footnote says the guarantee applies to Verify+, an optional free add-on that sends an email during validation to catch disabled or deactivated accounts (ZeroBounce cites Yahoo and AOL addresses), and that opting out may reduce accuracy to 96% for some providers, such as Yahoo. This is ZeroBounce’s own figure; BestSends has not verified it independently.

Beyond validation. AI Email Scoring ranks valid and catch-all addresses from 1 to 10. Activity Data shows which subscribers opened, clicked or interacted with emails in the past 30 to 180 days. Email Finder looks up professional addresses from a name and company domain. The deliverability side covers email warmup, inbox placement tests across 20+ global providers, email server tests with 200+ checks, monitoring of 200+ spam blacklists, DMARC monitoring and a deliverability dashboard.

Security and support. ZeroBounce says it is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified and GDPR, HIPAA and CCPA compliant. It says uploaded data is erased 30 days after upload unless you delete it sooner. Support runs 24/7 by chat, phone and email.

Integrations and API

On Oct 17, 2026 ZeroBounce’s integrations directory listed 95 integrations. Connection types include direct, Zapier, Workato, Make, n8n and Albato. Direct integrations include Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, Salesforce, Constant Contact, MailerLite, AWeber, Moosend, Drip, Customer.io, Iterable, Adobe Marketo, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, Microsoft Dynamics 365, BigCommerce, Wix, WordPress, Unbounce and Google Sheets, plus Chrome, Edge and Firefox extensions, an iOS app and an MCP server. For other platforms, ZeroBounce points to Zapier (2,000+ apps) or its API.

The API documentation covers single and batch real-time validation, file upload and download for bulk lists, and a sandbox mode. ZeroBounce lists wrappers or SDKs for 13 languages and platforms: Python, JavaScript, PHP, Java, Ruby, Go, C, C++, C#, Rust, Delphi/Pascal, iOS and Android. Its standard terms do not allow using the API inside a third-party product or service without prior approval.

Who ZeroBounce is for

ZeroBounce positions itself as a verification and deliverability platform and publishes use-case pages for email marketing, SMBs, agencies, enterprise, developers, vibe coding, business development and class-action settlements. Based on its published plans:

  • Monthly validation plus deliverability work: ZeroBounce ONE bundles 10,000 credits a month with warmup, inbox placement tests and blacklist and DMARC monitoring from $99 a month.
  • Signup-form and app validation: the real-time API, SDKs and sandbox mode cover developer use.
  • Small one-off checks: the free plan’s 100 monthly credits, with a business or premium domain sign-up.

ZeroBounce ONE costs $99 a month for 10,000 credits on monthly billing, or $79 a month billed annually, with higher credit tiers up to $2,499 a month for 1,000,000. Over 1 million credits is priced through sales.

Does ZeroBounce have a free plan?

Yes. ZeroBounce’s Freemium plan is $0 and includes 100 validation credits that refill every month, 1 inbox placement test, 1 email server test, 1 blacklist monitor scanned every 24 hours and 10 Email Finder. ZeroBounce says the 100 free monthly verifications apply when you sign up with a business or premium domain. Activity Data, warmup and DMARC monitoring are not included.

How do ZeroBounce credits work?

One credit validates or scores one email address, whether you upload a list or use the real-time API, so validating and scoring the same address uses two credits. Email Finder uses 20 credits per successful query. ZeroBounce does not charge for unknown results or for removing duplicate addresses.

Do ZeroBounce credits expire?

It depends on when the account was created. ZeroBounce’s help documentation says credits on accounts created on or before June 1, 2026 never expire. On accounts created after that date, purchased credits expire two years after the most recent purchase, and each new purchase resets the period. Credits do not expire while a ZeroBounce ONE subscription is active.

What is included in ZeroBounce ONE?

At $99 a month, ZeroBounce ONE includes 10,000 validation or scoring credits a month (unused credits roll over), 10,000 Email Finder or domain searches, 100 inbox placement tests, 100 email server tests, 250 warmup seeds, 10 blacklist monitors and 1 DMARC monitor domain, plus Activity Data and 15% off extra pay-as-you-go credits. There is no contract and you can cancel from your account settings.

How accurate is ZeroBounce?

ZeroBounce guarantees 99.6% accuracy. Its footnote says the guarantee applies to Verify+, an optional free add-on for disabled accounts, and that opting out may reduce accuracy to 96% for some providers, such as Yahoo. This is ZeroBounce’s own figure; BestSends has not verified it independently.

Which platforms does ZeroBounce integrate with?

ZeroBounce’s integrations directory listed 95 integrations on Oct 17, 2026, including direct connections to Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, Salesforce, Constant Contact, MailerLite and AWeber. Other apps connect through Zapier, Workato, Make or n8n, or through the API, which has wrappers for languages including Python, JavaScript, PHP, Java, Ruby, Go and C#.

Final Verdict

ZeroBounce combines credit-based email validation with a set of deliverability tools. Pay-as-you-go credits start at $39 for 2,000, ZeroBounce ONE starts at $99 a month for 10,000 credits plus warmup, inbox placement and monitoring tools, and a free account gets 100 validation credits a month with a business or premium domain sign-up. Before you buy, check the credit-expiration rules for accounts created after June 1, 2026 and the Verify+ condition on the 99.6% accuracy guarantee.
